Missing sync-words in latest HDTV recordings from ProSieben

Hi, as some of you know, German ProSieben channel is broadcasting movies in MPEG2-HDTV (1920x1080i) - this weekend "Man in Black 2". Unfortunately, the last two transmissions ("Panic Room", "Der Anschlag") were either faulty or VDR still has some packaging problems. The first transmission was "Spiderman", and this stream had just one AC3 track and makes no problems when demuxing with ProjectX. But when trying to demux "Panic Room" and "Der Anschlag", which was broadcast with AC3 and MP2 audio, ProjectX often/sometimes outputs: "Missing sync-words at..." and inserts AC3 frames - see an german extract of the "Panic Room" demux log at http://www.vdrportal.de/board/thread.php?threadid=32097&sid= in the first posting e.g. at the 5th, the 6th and the 9th minute of the recording (please don´t follow the thread because it has nothing to do with this posting). So: Is there a bug in the transmission, a bug in ProjectX or a bug in VDR? Is there anyone who has no audio drops playing back Panic Room at minute 5, 6 or 9 with xine or any other player? streamdev compile error

hi, i'll try to compile streamdev-0.3.1 with vdr-1.3.23 but it won't work. any idea's? i've got the same error when i try streamdev-0.3.0 or vdr-1.3.22. Perhaps the version of my compiler? running debian sarge for 99%. the rest is sid. Read the second language pid with mplayer

Hello, I have recorded some movie with two languages (ussually I have only one because off the cam limitation) and I want to know how to hear the second language pid with mplayer and mencoder to make a divx. Request: Change Dolby Digital handling

Hello Klaus! I use 1.3.23 and have a little request. Could you please change the Dolby Digital handling in a way that you can choose to use Dolby Digital during playback and for recordings seperately? An example: I use the analog out on my DVB card, so whenever DD is played directly through J2 I hear nothing. So now I can hit VDR's settings and set 'Use Dolby Digital' to 'no'. Now I have sound over analog. But when I start a recording of a program which offers DD VDR doesn't record the DD stream. But I'd definately go with DD when prepping the recording for a DVD. Of course I could switch 'Use Dolby Digital' on everytime I'm about to record but that's not quite handy. I know for normal VDR playback this isn't much of an issue because all the channels available send an mpg audiostream and VDR defaults to that stream on playback so I have analog output even while 'Use Dolby Digital' is set to 'on'. But the DVD plugin also uses the 'Use Dolby Digital' option. And there're often DVDs that only contain DD tracks so that I'm left with no audio signal while 'Use Dolby Digital' is set to 'on'. That's why I'd like to have two settings for DD; one for playback, the other for recordings. What do you think of this? Thanks Sebastian

Analogue channels on Nexus-CA / TT DVB-C C2300

Hello! I've a Nexus-CA DVB card working fine with VDR 1.3.23 - kernel 2.6.11.4! Is there a way to use the analogue tuner (I think SAA7114) to receive analogue TV channel with analogtv plugin ? When I try this with ivtv drivers, modeprobe saa7115.ko recognize the card correctly, but no tuning is possible, and of course no image too ... Best regards. J-D P.S : sorry for my bad English . Hi scantv is a console applicatione and in his dependencies "ldd scantv" I a have not seen libX..... needed, but it is compiled int the main xawtv makefile and so i don't know if the compiling process will fail before compiling scantv. I have a full distro in my environment. I used xawtv 3.94 for my job. Next week if you haven't solved yet i can do a try to help you in compiling scantv in your environment, and to write a simple script to generate a valid channels.conf regards Angelo hi, at least i found a scantv deb package. But how can i tell scantv to scan all frequencies and not only those ones who are in the different lists. How to remove (all) blacks borders ?

Hello, since I use xine to view/control (with vdradmin) VDR I can most of the time remove blacks borders playing with zoom : very nice :-) But for some /*&ç%"/*%ç reasons some providers send there "real" image not in the center of the complete image (with blacks borders). Is there a way to recenter to zoom in a particular area ? epgsearch, timeline, and streamdev-client timer patches?

The compile for Epgsearch-0.9.1, Timeline-0.9.0, and streamdev-client have broke due to the timer changes in vdr-1.3.23. Does anyone have a solution for these? Note: I found this patch for vdradmin to support vdr-1.3.23 over on vdr portal. It did not seem to apply to my version so I re-created it.
