I don't see any error here.
dmesg shows the following using the b2c2-flexcop-pci module of kernel [..] b2c2-flexcop: initialization of 'SkyStar 2 DVB-S (old version)' at the 'PCI' bus controlled by a 'FlexCopII' complete an a lot of b2c2-flexcop: i2c master_xfer failed messages!
Ignore them, the driver is probing the possible demodulators it can have. In fact your log looks good.
I don't know what to do. Is kernel 2.6.12.5 equipped with a recent dvb driver version?
Yes, but the problem some cards have (suddenly no data transfer anymore) is not fixed in 2.6.12. It will be included in 2.6.13. Or you use the patches for 2.6.12 from http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/patches/.
Btw. if you can, don't use the skystar2-driver anymore. It is superseded by the flexcop-modules.
This is just information about the driver situation. I'm unfortunately not able to help you with your real problem. Does VDR do an emergency exit or why do you assume that recording is not possible anymore?
