I had (up till today) problem with my NVidia, what ever I described in xorg.conf, output was 60Hz.. Command what fixed everything:
Option "FlatPanelProperties" "Scaling=Native"in Section "Screen"
That's the same as disabling "Force full gpu scaling" in nvidia-settings.
