I've tried starting 'vdr-sxfe --video=fb ...' (or DirectFB) but it keeps telling it can't connect to X server. What would you suggest when running xineliboutput on a vdr box with the only output via hdmi?
vdr-sxfe is for use in x vdr-fbfe is for use without x
