I remember some months ago, when I played around with X on the EPIA, I couldn't get a good picture in 16:9, only with 4:3 (1024x768).

I hope this is not a problem with my TV. It's a LCD, 16:9, and it claims to have a resolution of 1280x768 IIRC. But X and DDC did not report such a mode, only 1024x768.

I have access to an LCD TV (Techwood 17LW1) which, when I tried it, reported that it has a 1280x768 mode:
