Yes, for TV-out. They also have hardware deinterlacing for VGA output (don't know if any drivers support it besides the old syncfb). However, it is done with a BOB algorithm, which is not nearly as good as Tvtime's Greedy2Frame on Xine.
If you've got a fast CPU (ISTM you need about 1.5GHz or better) try enabling xine's deinterlace filter.
For PAL resolutions Greedy2Frame works fine on a 600 MHz Athlon with cheap_mode set to 1 or 2. Motion is very fluid and progressive material like movies are sharper than on a TV -- without flicker.
