The FF firmware is known to crash on poor signal quality.

Reasons (except for poor software quality in the firmware) might include a poorly aligned dish, a broken LNB, a bad coax cable, etc.

Use the femon plugin to check your signal quality.

Very well, though this is a DVB-T card. I experience far more crashes of the sp8870 firmware than I did with the very old DVB "HEAD" drivers...

Also tuning is slow and unreliable with any other version than the old DVB HEAD one.

Any thoughts?
