Hi,
I recorded many world cup matches with vdr and I'm thinking about storing them on DVDs (as data files).
I want to do minor editing (such as cutting ads) and resave the stream into mpeg files, without reencoding the original bitstream; this can be done easily with avidemux2 (saving MPEG PS A+V).
My questions are:
- should I expect any subtle problems in doing that? (such as A/V
desync)
- is there a more recommended method to perform this activity?
(it looks like there are a lot of demultiplexing/multiplexing tools and scripts around)
What I would like to avoid is damaging the information in the files in some not evident way and realize the problem only in the future, when the original files have been deleted.
vdrsync? Has worked for nearly everything I've tried! If it fails, then I resort to Project X.
