export LC_CTYPE=pl_PL
Its enough - in vdr.c:
... if (setlocale(LC_CTYPE, "")) CodeSet = nl_langinfo(CODESET); ...
it sets CodeSet to "ISO-8859-2". And it is recognized and working :)
