Hi,
Aktually VDR plays any MPEG file renamed to .vdr just fine.
This is what I needed to know. Thanks a lot!
Are there any limitations I have to keep in mind? Does it have to be a certain resolution and refresh rate? Will vdr (or the FF card) convert a 320x240 pixel 60 Hz MPEG file to PAL resolution and output or do I have to that in advance?
VDR does not convert anything, it just passes the MPEG to the driver. The driver accepts whatever it would also accept coming from a broadcast station, which is mostly wider than what's allowed to put on DVD or VCD.
For PAL/NTSC the driver will keep the video system. So an NTSC video stays NTSC and would result into black/white on a PAL TV.
