No, pictures aren't enough. That's as silly as saying you can look at a car and somehow magically know how it handles while driving. Sorry, doesn't cut it.
I can tell the difference between a Lotus Elise and a Volvo 740 by looking at pictures as well as I can tell the difference between a cooler designed to be silent and a cooler designed to be cheap.

The results don't give the right information to determine how well a card can handle 1080i.
You apparently don't know the results come from analyzing actual playback of actual samples of actual content.
I only looked at the first page and didn't notice that the tool had been improved with more useful tests since the early postings. I'll have to give it a try myself.
