Hi,
I would like this feature added too.
There is a feature called TurnOffPrimary that's part of the extensions patch.

I cannot say if the patch is written in a style that Klaus likes or if it needs to be rewritten, but it would be nice to see this particular option become part of the vanilla vdr.
It would also be nice to know if it's possible to turn off the card's tuner to avoid this problem here:
