Only have experience with DVB-S, but the T cards should work as well. Yeah I use VDR mainly for a Multimedia Box and some FTA. USA does not support CAM support as of yet, but hopefully someday it will.

I had been trying to get my DVB-T system working here, but looks like that's a non-starter.

I haven't had much time lately due to real life work and kids etc, but I do maintain a US site and try and keep it updated. Someday i will get everything updated properly, so dunno if you wanna DEPEND on my site LOL. but feel free to sign up and check it out.
