Mplayer plugin is for playing non-mpeg2-files (e.g. xvid) content to the FF DVB card output.

What you are looking for is most probably xine or softdevice plugin.

So mplayer plugin works the other way around.. :-)

Thanks for the advice. Softdevice plugin seemed promising. I'll have to check that out tomorrow.
