I am using a fresh bare install of Ubuntu hardy which ships xine-lib 1.1.11, but the patches don't compile :( The Makefile.am changed a little but I was able to amend that manually, but the video_out_xv.c spews out this:

In the meantime I reworked everything from scratch. A patch currently is only applied against radeon-DRM and xserver-xorg-video-ati.
Xine library isn't touched any more though this will change in the future. Latest version of the patch is available at:
