It looks like VDR assumed the start to be manually, not automatically.

Same for you: Check the logs for "assuming manual start of VDR", "next timer event at" and "next plugin wakeup at" messages, and check setup.conf for the NextWakeupTime line. These infos should explain what went wrong.
