I'm new on this mailing list but I've been studying LinVDR for some time. I am not a Linux developer but keen to learn!
I would like to use the iMon remote from Ahanix/Soundgraph with LinVDR. Has anyone managed to get this working? What is needed to get this to work? I am currently using LinVDR 0.7

Yep, you want to look at http://venky.ws/projects/imon/ - this will give you a LIRC driver you can use. Once you've set it up and have lircd running, you can use it with VDR by compiling VDR with "make REMOTE=LIRC"
It also includes a LCDproc driver (for use if you have the iMon VFD Display) this works fine with the lcdproc plugin for VDR (although I'm writing my own plugin which is better suited for 2x16 character displays.)
