Hello again,
As stated on the subject, all tracks are "played" (in fact, there is no sound) at high speed, whether I jump from track to track, or I simply wait for the prvious to finish. If I press "left", the track gets back a little, then plays fine... Until the next track... (vdr 1.3.23)
Oops : my mp3-plugin version is 0.9.12, not 0.9.7 This problem applies to 0.9.12

As playback works with a DVB card, this may be related to softdevice...
Regards.

Works here with fine too (softdevice cvs): May 7 09:58:02 jarada vdr[13946]: mp3: player thread started (pid=13946) May 7 09:58:02 jarada vdr[13947]: [softdevice-audio] samplerate: 44100Hz, channels: #2 May 7 09:58:02 jarada vdr[13947]: [softdevice-audio] Period size 1152 Buffer size 9216
Maybe thats related to the samplerate of your mp3 files or a "VIAllinen" feature ? (http://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/softdevice-devel/2005q2/000573.html).
But I've got a with pause as it doesn't continue to play. That may be softdevice related.

For me the mp3-plugin also works fine with the cvs version of the softdevice. I'm also continuing the development of softplay, the media player for the softdevice. The current cvs version now has basic support for playlists, so it finally makes sense to use softplay for mp3 playback. So you might want to give it a try ;-) I'm currently looking for good ideas to implement a user interfaces for the playlist. So any comments are welcome ...

I did in another thread on the softdevice ML. Basically : I like mp3blaster, a console-mode MP3 player with unique simple features.
