VDR version 2.6.0 is now available at the official VDR GIT archive

You can get the latest stable version with
git clone --branch stable/2.6 git://git.tvdr.de/vdr.git
If you want to download the source as a tar archive, use
http://git.tvdr.de/?p=vdr.git;a=snapshot;h=refs/tags/2.6.0;sf=tbz2
A summary of all the major changes since the last stable version can be found at

There is also a new version with important fixes in the stable/2.4 branch, for those who don't want to or can't switch to version 2.6 at this time:

When updating from an earlier version of VDR please make sure you read the INSTALL and MANUAL files that come with the VDR source _before_ doing so! Please make sure you have backup copies of all your configuration files, and verify carefully that your timers will be set to the correct channels after switching to this new version.
