Hi!,
I was looking in google for 'mame dvb' because I'm interested in play mame games through VDR and have encountered this project:
http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/
What do you think about this project?
About my mame addiction, do you know how can I play mame with my VDR set? I have epia-M (svga out), 1 ff nexus-s card (dvb out). Can I execute mame with VDR commands?
Thanks

Well, you can't use the FF output for mame, you'd have to use some output of the integrated graphics card.
You could add simple commands to VDR which executes games in the another output, or make a plugin for that.
I have done it in another way: I've installed mythtv (www.mythtv.org) to use the s-video output of my graphics card (VDR is in FF).

Ok, the last idea likes me but... what offers mythtv that VDR not offers? only the MAME output? And... can run at same time? I think myhtv uses the dvb card too.
Well, I have to read, learn and investigate!!!!!!
Thanks!!!

I use the mythtv mainly for mame and watching the composite video input of my box. It has other features too, which I do not use.
Yes, they can be run in the same time, but in different outputs. If you use remotes, you of course need two remotes or a remote with multiple device controlling capabilities. You can't use the DVB feature of mythtv.
