Hi all,
if I run (vanilla) vdr-1.3.38 I get the following message in syslog: Jan 8 17:32:40 vdr vdr[22782]: ERROR: /video: Keine Berechtigung Back to old vdr-1.3.37, all is ok.
My /video is a soft link to /data/video vdr:/ # ll /video lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 2006-01-08 17:06 /video -> /data/video vdr:/ # ll /data | grep video drwxrwxrwx 12 root users 4096 2006-01-08 16:39 video but this error occurs also with a normal /video.
The call stat(DirName, &ds) in tools.c, method DirectoryOk returns -1.
Hmm, can anyone give me a hint please?
kind regards Andreas Böttger

vdr 1.3.38 has a new parameter -u (user). if you want to start vdr with root user you have to add -u root
