Hi,
my son last night came up with an interesting question. Why can't I read EPG descriptions of broadcasts on a different channel than I'm currently watching? E.g. I was watching the news on ZDF and he wanted to check what was up on Galileo on Pro7 without switching channels. I mean, the EPG data is there, there's no technical need to switch channels when all I want to do is see other channels' EPG descriptions... has anybody thought about this?

What about the "Now" button in the Schedule menu? ;-)

You might want to take a look at the TV-Onscreen Plugin. http://www.js-home.org/vdr/tvonscreen/

press menu, press 1 (schedule), press green (now), choose the channel you want, press yellow (schedule)

Ooops, you're right. I wasn't aware that it could do that.
Hi altogether,
I'm looking for the program parameters for Pro Sieben HD... I'm not able to do a scan with VDR :-( Only with some Windows software from Hauppauge. And it doesn't find the program... and I can't get the details out of the program... Maybe they are not On Air right now, but there must be somebody with the right arameters ???
