Is there some easy way to remove track from playlist during play. For me it is very common to find some particular track worthless during listening music, and therefore remove it from playlist permanently.
However, I don't see any possibility for it, can this be true? For me it is the most often needed function on mp3player!

There is currently no way to remove a song from the active playlist.
I admit that the UI of the plugin isn't quite good. I have a lot of plans to change this, but I lack the time to carry it out.
Regards.
Hello,
Look at a plugin called "muggle" which uses a database for more elaborate browsing and playlist editing:

Muggle also permits editing playlists while replaying, including deletion of tracks.

Hmm, uses mysql. How fragile is mysql? My box reboots frequently without shutdown. Here it is impossible to get 5 days uptime without UPS :-(
I have not noticed any problems so far in using mySQL and Muggle. The MySQL server on my server usually runs for a few weeks before it is rebooted. On the other hand, the database survives also crashes of VDR and does not need maintenance afterwards.
Since more recent versions of muggle you can also use the embedded mySQL server which is then linked into the plugin so that there is no separate server process anymore.
Just give it a try. Using muggle has become very easy since recent releases since the plugin actually creates and sets up the database itself.

Yes, I can believe that. But how well does mysql survive crash of whole computer? I don't like idea of removing old database and restoring it from dumps regularily, just to get playlists for mp3 player. :-) It's ok maybe once per year, but weekly, no thanks.
But I suppose I don't have choice, so I'll try it!

Ok, now I have:
em8300-0.15.0-cvs20050331-patched-20050331.tar.bz2 vdr-dxr3-0.2.3-cvs20050330.tgz
and vdrdevel 1.3.23-1 from e-tobi.net. Still same problem, with 'DVB' output track won't start playing unless I press 3s forward.
Tried also muggle, I crashes vdr immediately.
