Anybody know if this channel can be received with a TechnoTrend card and vdr? I've a DVB-C full featured card.

Out of curiosity, what is the channel supposed to broadcast? Test stuff such as the European parliament sessions like the HDTV channel on Astra?

AFAIK: no. At least you require the HDTV-patch, too it would be better(required?) to have the "RAM mod" applied.
Euro 1080 kills VDR here.
And you might require xine to display.
But maybe mean while is all better? (My tests were 3 month ago.)

If you mean EURO1080 then yes, it is possible. At least with Technotrend's Budget card, vdr 1.3.20+enAIO&subtitles-patches , xine and vxr-xine 0.7.0. But it consumes a tremendous amount of cpu cycles. Without any postprocessing on it takes 50% of my Athlon 2800+. With deinterlacing on the amount is over 70 and if I try to use features in postprocessing chain-reaction it hangs the system. Put this in your channels.conf and try: EURO1080;Tintti:498000:C0M64:C:6900:308:256=eng;257=eng:0:0:21100:0:3:0
BTW, the program seems to include both rock and classical concerts, sports (mostly tennis) and so on.
Hi,
I was able to record that channel "EURO1080;Tintti:498000:C0M64:C:6900:308:256=eng;257=eng:0:0:21100:0:3:0" and watch it using xine or kaffeine media player but the image seems to quite blocky.
I have two cards system:
Technotrend premium 2.1 DVB-C Technotrend budget DVB-C AMD 2600+
What can cause the blocks???

I think the media players are to blame here. At least Xine seems to have difficulties with HDTV material. Have you tried recording with other programs besides vdr? For example you could try recording with dvbstream to see if the problem is with vdr.
BTW. Check http://www.hd-1.tv/ for the program list.

Well, I can play perfectly HDTV material with xine and mplayer here, without any problem :-)

I may have been a bit vague there. What I meant was that Xine (at least, don't know about kaffeine or mplayer) puts a very heavy load on the CPU while playing HDTV material and that could be the reason for the blockiness. Also the definition of HDTV material is quite flexible. 1920x1080 is a lot more information to deal with than 1280x720. I think EURO1080/HD1 uses 1080i format.

I tryed other players (Xine, Kaffeine, Media Player Classic...) and recording was still blocky. Next I'll try dvbstream.
