Is there a way of configuring vdr-sxfe with a xine config file? For example, although I can select an audio driver on the command line I think libxine needs a config file to select the output device. I found ~/.xine/config_xineliboutput but it's no use editing it because vdr-sxfe overwrites it with its defaults.

please stop vdr , edit the ~/.xine/config_xineliboutput and after that start vdr with xineliboutput - everything should be ok

Thanks, that seems to do the trick. But I was sure I'd tried to configure my other PC which is a remote client only to xineliboutput.
