Hi
I've tried Mythtv for my home system, but found the channel change speed unbearable (i.e around 5 seconds). A look at Mythtv archives show me that people also suffer from the same problems.
So I switched to VDR, and now channel change speed is around 7-10 seconds. But on the mailing list, I cannot see anyone complaining about it. Probably I'm doing something wrong, but could'nt figure out.
Hardware/software:
- Skystar 2 (budget card) - AMD XP 3000, 1 GB RAM - Mandriva with 2.6.16 kernel

What are you using for the video output?
The channel change should be very fast, 0-1 seconds here with Airstar2 DVB-T and FF card.

Hi
Figured out from another e-mail from the list that it is a problem of my wrong diseqc configuration - everything is fixed now. The channel change speed is incredibly fast.
If anyone encounters the same, then she should check diseqc params.
