I recently added to my single-FF-card VDR-box a second card, it's a TT-S2-3200. It's working fine with the multiproto dirvers and vdr-1.5.14, i can watch SDTV on the nexus-s' tv out or HDTV (quite well) via vdr-xine. I have one issue with my dishes. I know that few of the vdr users have motorized dish, well I have two of them :) The first one, a 1.8m prime focus is controlled fine with Diseqc 1.2 commands in diseqc.conf. But I have a second one connected to my S2-3200. Is there any way to control this motor via diseqc.conf?
Thanks,
Istvan
PS. In my old vdr I had a nice patch, which allowed me to easily enter the recordings paths with the arrow keys, without typing the folder's name. I applied the liemikuutio patch to vdr-1.5.14 but i cannot find this feature. Where can I find this patch?

Well, I did not manage to control both of my dishes. Right now I'm using the sourcecaps-path, which tells vdr to drive the first dish where he needs, and to stay on one position with the second one. Aren't any vdr user who uses two dishes with two cards?

I had once such a system. The problem is currently that you would need two sets of diseqc setups, one for each dish. But that is currently not implemented in VDR. More generally spoken VDR would need a separate diseqc.conf for each receiving device.
To circumvent this situation with current VDR you have to use a.) the sourcecaps-patch and b.) trick around with the diseqc commands: you need to assign the same satellite numbers (in the both rotors) for those satellites which can be received with both dishes and put corresponding diseqc 1.2 sequences in diseqc.conf.

I know that. But I'm afraid that's not a priority for Klaus, at least not now when there's a war between features like H.26 and subtitles :)

That's not a problem. I have two Strong V50 Diseqc 1.2 positioners, and I can set them up to have the same numbers for same satellite positions. But how VDR will send the diseqc commands to both of the positioners?

Yes, thats true :) But IMHO implementing this feature would require only a few dozen lines of addtional source code. May be someone else can do it?
Don't look at me ;-) Neither I do not have time right now nor do it have a setup to test it.
During tuning VDR selects the right device using the sourcecaps patch and looks up the right diseqc sequence for that satellite source in diseqc.conf. It should work right away, if you setup sourcecaps and disqec correctly.
By the way, you can check the device selection nicely with the femon plugin.

Lol :) That's a good one :)
I hope I understand you. I will give it a try.

Yes, it's working fine, I can select the device with the left-right keys.
Thanks for your answer,
