I tried dvdplugin and noticed the sound was totally broken and jerky. Is there a patch that fixes this problem ?
My config : vdr 1.6.0 + dxr3plugin 0.2.9 (Dolby Digital is disabled)

You may want to try dxr3player (via externalplayerPlugin or something). That used to work well here.
Now I am using plain mplayer with -vo dxr3.

It would be really coll, if you add a bug description here: http://projects.vdr-developer.org/projects/plg-dxr3/issues/new I am working almost every day now on this plugin and a big rework in the area of Buffering will be shortly commited. So I can look in to other issues - and there a lot of them.
