i'm looking for a plugin or method to automatically display a play/stop/eject/... menu on the on the screen when a DVD is entered into the drive. Also a possible autoplay DVD via vdr ould be a good idea.
Any thoughts or hints ?

first you have to detect tray status. I solved that for me a few months ago by this small program [1]. Dont't know if there are better methods available.

I use the mediad plugin for this. More info at http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/Mediad-plugin But the plugin's homepage http://www.pomase.net seems to be down at th moment.
