Hello:
I live in the UK but have many NTSC DVDs among my collection.
It would be nice to be able to watch these DVD's in VDR using the DVD plugin, but since they are NTSC they do not play correctly - I guess just as they would on a regular PAL TV.
As I do not output the video to a TV, but watch on my display, does anyone know if there is any workaround to watch there DVDs properly (not black and white or fuzzy) ... before I would simply play in Xine, but am now using LinVDR 7 and really do not want to have to install everything to run xine.
I am using a Technotrend full featured DVB-T card as my primary with a budget card as secondary.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
David

This would be nice feature, but i don't know if full featured card supports "PAL60". I used DXR3 before and it supported such mode. It's like NTSC but with PAL colors, with this, NTSC movies played fine with my PAL tv.
Hello Again:
Further to my e-mail about playing NTSC dvds in VDR ...
Does anyone know where I can find a debian package for xine-ui that includes fbxine.
LinVDR 0.7 is based on woody, and the old xine-ui deb package for woody on the debian site doesn't provide fbxine unlike the Sarge package with does.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
David
