When setting a timer with vdradmin the popup includes a box which is supposed to contain the programme description. This used to work, but hasn't worked for me, literally for years. I've just ignored it until now, but it would be something nice to have back now I can be bothered to mention it. Any ideas?

There is no "program description", only "title of recording" and "summary". Which are you referring to? I would guess summary but you never know with people sometimes, so...

Yes, I meant the Summary. And I should also have said "timer" in the subject, not "recording".
Hi Tony,

maybe he's thinking about when you click on a show, you get a popup box with the show name and any other epg info vdr has.

Hi Tony,
setting the summary for timers has been dropped in VDRAdmin-AM years ago, simply because that was also dropped in VDR. It's readonly now so that one can see what plugins/tools (epgsearch...) add to a timer's AUX field.
Best regards, Andreas

Could you show it as a readonly field in the web page? I don't want to edit it, but it is useful to have the information in that popu. Sometimes I'm fairly sure I want to record something but like to have the confirmation of the summary after clicking record. Compared to opening the summary separately it saves at least two clicks and some mouse movement and I'm lazy ;-).
