Hello,
In looking for inf about the cable I need to connect a Conax CAM to my Terratec 1200 DVB-T card. The Terratec 1200 has a 80-pole connector like for an IDE-cable but with higher pitch. See: http://www.terratec.it/prodotti/schede_tv/cinergy1200dvb_s/Photo%20TerraTec%...
The Conax CAM should have an 68-pole PCMCIA connector. Like: http://www.technick.net/public/code/cp_dpage.php?aiocp_dp=pinconbus_pcmcia ?
What connections should be made? What cable do I need? Where could I get it?
Please post if you know more.
Thanks, Udo

Your CAM has to be plugged into a CI (Common Interface). I'm not sure if the 80pin-connector is for a external CI. If not, you have to buy a card that has a CI-connector (like e.g. TechnoTrend TT-budget T-1500) or built-in CI.
Regards, Roland

What connection does a CI have?

Terratec helpdesk does not know anything so who here has someexperience?

DVB-T? Available? Affordable? Supported? Let's do some research first before jumping to conclusions.
Thanks, Udo

As I understand it the CAM goes into a CI. The CI has a 68-pin PCMCIA interface. What cable do I need from this PCMCIA interface to the Terratec?

IIRC Terratec 1200 and KNC1 cards are of similar design, so this might be the CI module that works with your card:

I believe google will help you to find more info :)

BTW: Does this CI work with a Conax CAM?
