The sat channel TVE1 on 19e changed transponder a few days ago. I have a timer recording something on Thursdays. So yesterday vdr would crash within 3 seconds of starting (once the recording was to be on)
I had to edit timers.conf to disable the timer event and then and only then edit the channel with the new transponder data, restart vdr (otherwise it was showing a black screen) before things went back to normal.

3 seconds sounds pretty short. Normally VDR would restart if no video data is received for 30 seconds.
Can you reproduce this crash with the old channel data?
