Hi all,
After running my current previous vdr setup (1.3.22) for quite a while, I decided to give a new version a try. Otherwise it looks good (after finding out that "modprobe capability" did wonders to set_cap problems), but recording of the subtitles fails. Or at least displaying the them...
What happens is that the subtitles of the recorded program are not visible. Instead, if the "live" program being broadcasted during viewing of the recording has subtitles, they are visible. Anyone know what's wrong here? I think I read about something similar earlier, but all I could find concerned the ttxtsub plugin.
As the title says, I'm trying to use vdr 1.3.38, with subtitles-0.3.8. I tried Rolf's patches,
vdr-1.3.38-subtitles-0.3.8-and-ttxtsubs-0.0.5.diff
and
vdr-1.3.38-subtitles-0.3.8.diff
but neither of them works. The "Live" subtitles work fine.

You'll also need to apply 1.3.38 compability patches for (both) plugins.

Oh, missed that one.. thanks. One thing, though... Probably due to the new behaviour of the menu button, the menu doesn't work anymore with recordings that have subtitles (for live tv it works fine, though). Any cure for that? Unless of course Klaus' latest batch helps, I don't have time to check it today...

Oh well, didn't noticed that in my quick tests and don't know the reason why it works only in Live-mode.

I posted a patch for that yesterday or sunday.

Not for this problem, but fortunately Klaus's recent menu fix seem to cure this.
BTW, there has been a similar fix, as found in your patch, implemented in my subtitles patches since VDR's audio menu.
