Maybe you should do something about this first. Have you built a channels.conf for VDR?
Now it seems that your VDR setup uses the Skystar as its primary device (for displaying the OSD), so that certainly disables any Xine output. With a full-featured card like yours, there is actually no need to use the Xine plugin anyway since you can just point any video player to the decoded video output of the card (/dev/video*) and get your VDR UI that way. Have you tried using xawtv while VDR is running?

first of all thanks for answering. for vdr just vdr for xine just xine but even xine vdr://channel or dvb://channel tells me that there is not support for dvb which exists because i can see the plugins loaded in xine..

You mean "vdr://tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes", surely. And if vdr has claimed all available DVB card(s), xine-lib's dvb plugin isn't going to work.

well every time i open xine and press dvb it says that there is not plugin to handle dvb://the_first_channel_of_channels_conf. ok thanks for replying but what can i do please???

You have to assign those keys (I assume you type them into xine's window) in xine's keyboard editor. See MANUAL.
VDR is going to learn keys for it's "keyboard" remote, i. e. how should keys typed into the terminal (where VDR was started from) control VDR.
compiled w/ the vdr keys option.... please help me because it took me almost 15 days to have this result with your help!
Don't blame other people. Most people don't want to help if it is obvious for them that the accompanying documentation is not read properly / at all. Your above question has already been answered in INSTALL.

remote.conf.any ideas on how to ask from vdr to ask me for the configuration of the keys???i'm trying to start xine imeediately but it doesn't work(the remote keys configutation i mean).
After VDR has learned remote keys for all known remotes (i. e. known to VDR by default is remote KBD), it doesn't enter learning mode anymore until a new remote is registered (e. g. by compiling VDR with LIRC support).
See your syslog (the lines below are an excerpt from mine):
Apr 18 22:06:29 video vdr: [11082] ERROR: remote control XineRemote not ready! Apr 18 22:06:29 video vdr: [11082] remote control LIRC - keys known Apr 18 22:06:29 video vdr: [11082] remote control KBD - keys known
Currently, there is no other way than to delete remote.conf (or at least you have to delete all entries for the remote which you want to learn again) to have VDR learn remote keys again.
But I assume, you want to make use of XineRemote. As syslog says above, XineRemote is not ready. Therefore no keys can be learned.
XineRemote behaves different: a) there is no need for VDR to learn keys b) you have to assign keys to VDR actions in xine's keymap editor
I assume, you have difficulties with b).
1. Start xine. 2. From the it's context menu, choose "Settings" => "Keymap Editor" (Alt+k). 3. Locate the entry "VDR Green button" near the end of list box. 4. Select the entry. 5. Press the button "Edit". 6. Press the button "Grab". 7. Hit the desired key (e. g. in my case "left Windows key" + "F2"). 8a. If you've hit a unique key in step 7, then xine now asks for a confirmation to make the assignment. 8b. Otherwise you get informed about which action is currently assigned to the hit key. You'll first have to assign a different key to that action to unbind the current assignment. 9. Repeat the above steps 3 ... 9 as necessary (see MANUAL). 10. Press the button "Save". 11. Press the button "Done".
When you now hit the assigned key (for VDR Green button) in xine's window, VDR should show the "Schedules" menu.
Keep in mind, that you have to pass the argument "-r" (see MANUAL) to vdr-xine to activate passing the received keys from xine to VDR.
Bye.

When you connect xine fast enough to VDR, then you should probably see VDR's remote learning mode.
Anyway, you may want to use the remote.conf from my homepage. See remote.conf.txt for the key assignment. It allows you to control VDR by pressing keys in the terminal where you started VDR.
You may also want to use the attached .xine/keymap which allows you to control VDR by pressing keys in xine's window. On my system, the key assignment is like the one mentioned in remote.conf.txt, but I additionally have to hold down the left windows key. You need to activate this functionality by passing "-r" to vdr-xine.
Once you are able to operate VDR you should be able to configure DVB and let VDR find new channels.
BTW: you may also want to use this keymap: http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/Kanotix_-_Streaming-Server_mit_Xine-Pl...
