you can, if you want, install the CD on harddisk with sudo kanotix-installer

You can start the xine-player on the VDR directly, then use the IP: 127.0.0.1 1.) VDR Button 2.) wait a moment, forget the message SetVolumeDevice 3.) XINE Button

STREAMING: push the VDR Button on the PC with TVcard and start the client with an second CD. On the client (Laptop) click the XINE Button and insert the IP adress from the VDR.
