Hello,
How can I use the skincurses plugin? The plugin compiles fine but I get no OSD drawn to the console (neither over a ssh connection nor directly on the console of my vdr server). Do I have to activate this plugin somehow? My setup is a epia-m w/ ff-dvb-s card. no tv connected. freshly installed gentoo linux (but with ncurses installed). latest VDR (1.3.33) and kernel-2.6.12-r10
Thanks,
Thomas

Yes you must. setup->osd->skin is your option.

Well, but how I do get to the setup-osd-skin entry without seeing the osd. kinda like the chicken-egg-problem :) can someone please send me a a setup.conf with the correct setting?
please change osdskin like this: OSDSkin = curses
Klaus, could you please add a little hint to your INSTALL or README or MANUAL file that one has to add the line "OSDSkin = curses" to the setup.conf file in order to make the skincurses plugin work? I didn't find that information inside your Dokumentation files. (vdr-1.3.33)
Thank you.
Thomas

I've added a note to the README file of skincurses.
