Softplay is a plugin that lets you play back media files from disk of any format supported by ffmpeg using the softdevice plugin. I'd like to play back h.264 files from disk using vdr.

Softplay is a plugin that lets you play back media files from disk of any format supported by ffmpeg using the softdevice plugin. I'd like to play back h.264 files from disk using vdr.
You might want to try out vdr-xineliboutput, as it contains such a feature.

Thx, xineliboutput works very well. Would you happen to know if there's a way to set the default directory for the media player? I couldn't find any such info in the documentation.

setup.conf: xineliboutput.Media.BrowseFilesDir = /foo/bar
