In my setup with FF-DVBC + Conax CAM + legal card and budget DVBC-card this made my system to continuously restart. Only thing to stop this was logging in into VDR-machine, editing timers.conf and disabling the timer. Restarting was done so quickly that I could press just one remote control key, but could not disable timer via OSD. And reloading driver didn't help for the problem. Problem was that ECM didn't happen to card on certain channels. So perhaps CAM error should be analyzed before making a decision what to do? No valid key on card = just warn user, CAM not responding = reset CAM, no DVB data = reload driver?

REQUEST UI change when OK pressed

Just a suggestion / discussion point. Would it be possible to modify the OK key so that on first press it does the same as now, but pressing it again brings up the current program detailed information - you would then press the back button (or menu) to close the display? If OK is not pressed twice the display acts as normal. Also is it possible to display either the channel or program name that is currently being recorded when the OK button is pressed. Thanks Mike

vdr 1.3.41: channel up/down doesn't work

Hi, I just tested vdr 1.3.41 and found that switching the channel with up/down doesn't works anymore. Hitting up/down brings up the channel info for the current channel only. I can hit the key as many times as I want, nothing more happens. I can switch to the channel if I enter the number directly and the up/down keys work fine e.g. in menu. I'm using a LIRC remote. GPL Licensing?

I don't know the proper rules and all, but I didn't think it was legal to sell something that was Open Source or GPL as what VDR is? I don't know how all of the authors of all the VDR Plugins and Klaus himself feel about others making money off of their hard work, and I hate to see things change. But thought people should be aware there are a couple of people out there trying to make money off of your work. Someone is selling a VDR Live CD, there is a thread about it on dvbn.happysat.org Just wanted to let you guys know. I hope that a stop is put to that, cuz I think that is just wrong. Thanks to all that help make this software what it is.

Moving charMap from menuitems.c to Make.config

Hi Klaus, Could you add a new option in Make.config for specifying the charMap-variable in menuitems.c? This would be handy, because the map that's specified in menuitems.c lacks support for eg. Scandinavian characters like å, ä and ö and some other special characters. [PATCH] timer-info patch for VDR-1.3.38+

Hi! I have adapted the timer-info patch to VDR >= 1.3.38 (tested with VDR-1.3.41). http://toms-cafe.de/vdr/download/vdr-timer-info-0.2-1.3.38+.diff This patch shows info in the timer menu, if it is possible to record a scheduled event. Tom

Xine and ac3 Passthru for dolby digital

Im having some problems getting ac3 passthru to work. Im using fbxine with directfb, which works well, for both video and audio in PCM mode, but frequent crashes occur with trying to use Dolby Digital. I have set the xine plugin to "Dolby On" audio.output.speaker_arrangement:Pass Through It works sometimes, other times it crashes. No errors in logs, except a lot of "Ring Buffer Overflows".. fbxine just exits with no errors. Vdr itself doesnt crash, just fbxine crashes out or thinks the stream ended? vdr 1.3.38 Xine CVS

VDR in Polish

Hi. I've made an update to the Polish translation. Actually it's a complete rewrite as the existing translation is horrible and unusable. In order for Polish characters to be displayed correctly, also epg_pl_0.1.diff is required (it's not mine, I've found it on one of message boards). Burn-plugin and special characters

Hi, I found a bug in the burn-plugin when the info.vdr file contains special characters like å, ä and ö. The info on the DVD that is created with this info.vdr-file gets chopped, and therefore the text that ends up on the dvd is not complete. I'm using the version 0.0.009 of this plugin. Regards, René
