xinelib error??? video_out: throwing away image

Hi. I'm having intermittant problems when replaying vdr recordings with xineliboutput. Every few minutes I get an audio/video slip/break and stdout reports: video_out: throwing away image with pts 124350653 because it's too old (diff : 29229) Is this a xinelib message? I'm running a xine-lib taken from cvs on the 4th of June 2006

Hello Klaus, Some LNB's don't get a lock while switching to a special frequency. After a small change in the Frequency it works e. G. 12630->12629 ... Some receivers can set a frequency with a adjustable vallue in thei software. Is it posible to get such a feature in vdr? Perhaps in menu->settings->dvb?? MfG. Halim

LCD plugin

Hi. Can anyone point me to a good resource for building an LCD display? The LCD plugin page is great for controller support etc, but how do I get a display actually hooked up? Or is there a nice kit out there, with a good resolution, that fits in a 3.5" drive bay slot??

Xineliboutput with DirectFB

Hello, has anyone gotten xineliboutput with DirectFB to work? vdr exit codes?

Hi all, Does VDR had exit codes? I mean, how could I find what is the cause of VDR exit? For example, I want to know is the VDR exit for storage failure, driver failure, timers.conf failure or any thing else. It is because I wrote a script for restarting my system when vdr exits, but I want to prevent this for errors that are persistent, like hard disk failure, or timers.conf file failure. Thanks. J. xineliboutput letterbox & mplayer problems

I've been trying xineliboutput for the first time - looks like it will solve all sorts of problems I've been having, if I can get over these ones.... Problem number 1: If I start the plugin with : vdr -P"xineliboutput --local=sxfe --video=xv --audio=alsa --remote=none" I get a letterbox window in the middle of the gnome screen. grab from remote machines?

Hi Is possibile to grab image into a file from a remote machines? there is a way to insert the stream generate with a svdrpsend.pl command like this: ./svdrpsend.pl -d 192.168.0.2 grab - 10 in a valid jpeg or other graphical format file? thank's bye

How to determine that VDR is ready to go ?

Hi, I'd like to know when vdr is ready with its initializatin routines ( starting plugins etc ). This is necessary to optimize the system boot up time, because starting other services should wait until vdr is ready. Till now I do a "sleep 15", but thats not really nice ;) A possible workaround is to count the vdr pids and when this number does not grow for about 3 seconds I decide that startup is done.
