Hi all, I've a VDR system with 3 dvb cards. everything works fine when the signal is ok, but if I've a timer on a channel that is not realy exist, or when the BER in one of my receiving channels is high and the channel is not receiving well, vdr thinks that there is a problem with dvb drivers and exits to reload the drivers (or even system reboot if I define it!) and spoils other concurrent recording timers. Hi! I have a setup with server hosting vdr (and vdr-xine plugin) and a frontend machine using xine to stream through LAN. The setup has been working well for the past year or so, but now I have a little problem in my hands. I'm using my amplifier for volume control and xine&vdr volume is at 100% always. But for some reason now every time I lauch xine in the frontend, the xine volume level goes instantly to almost zero and I have to manually raise it back to 100%. How to detect if a timer was deleted?

Hi, for a new feature of epgsearch, I'd like to do a continuous check (in a separate thread) if any timer was deleted via OSD or SVDRP since the last check. The only thing I found so far is to build a timer array and compare it at each check with the current timer list. But if timers where modified meanwhile, the check can get quite complex. Streamdev remote streaming control missong

I've just put up a vdr-to-vdr setup and got the live channels streaming to client but there is no "Streaming control" in the main menu which is supposed to be accordingto the README file. I think I read something about separeting the actual streaming functionality from the remote osd but does it mean there is no streaming control then and is it allready implemented in CVS version? \\Kartsa

mac version of vdr-sxfe

Is there a version for Mac OS? I have just got an iBook and don't know if I need to install linux on it to use it with my vdr-server. On the other laptop we use ubuntu with vdr-sxfe and a remote control sender to watch tv in another room. However, it's a slow pc and I want to know if this iBook is good enough (it's a G3 700mhz - so not an Intel thing..) -- Latest news on http://www.streetcredo.org.uk/rob Rob Davis

Best DVB-S card

Hi, I've been using VDR with a Hauppauge Nova-T and a DXR3 for a couple of years now and I have just moved into a house with a satellite dish installed. Can anyone recommend a DVB-S card to use? I've been looking at the Nexus-S because it is fully featured and I don't have any spare PCI slots left. With a FF card I could remove the DXR3. Hi, Does VDR works with a multiswitch, 4 dish and 4 dvb card? Each card must access to all dish. Regards Béranger
