Problem with programming timer on TELE 5

Hi I have TELE 5 now on number 12 (moved with the VDR channel editor to this place). But if I try now to programm a timer in the following way: Menu -> Program -> red button I see on channel 609 TELE 5 and not 12 TELE5 The line in channel.conf is: TELE 5:12480:vC34:S19.2E:27500:1535:1536=deu:38:0:51:133:33:16387 What is wrong here? restoring OSD after Menu close (feature request)

Hello, I found a small inconsequence in the osd handling. when playing a recording and pressing e.g. PAUSE a small OSD is displayed. After pressing MENU, the menu is display. Everything is correct. If the menu is closed now, the small OSD is not shown again, while the status is still the same (paused). Normally I would suppose, that the small OSD is shown again. This should also happen for the bigger OSD info window. And maybe also for other plugins (e.g. clock)? Am I right? vdr shutdown handling / streamdev plugin

Hello, a question about the 'new' vdr shutdown handling implemented a few versions ago. Every time i connect a client to the streamdev plugin the log is full of these message: Nov 14 14:26:42 linvdr vdr: [8480] streamdev-server: no translation found for 'Streaming busy, can't shutdown' in language 1 (Deutsch) Nov 14 14:27:13 linvdr last message repeated 31 times Nov 14 14:27:19 linvdr last message repeated 6 times This is the code i found in the streamdev plugin: cString cPluginStreamdevServer::Active(void) { if (cStreamdevServer::Active()) return tr("Streaming busy, can't shutdown"); return 0; } I know, it's bescause of the missing translation ;) But why vdr call this so often, isn't it only required if the vdr is going to shutdown? Even without the log message, at first view it looks like unnecessary load? Regards Jörg

Mplayer Frontend for xineliboutput?

Is there any way to use Mplayer as the frontend to xineliboutput? This might be a stupid question, but the a/v sync problems are unacceptable with the existing front end vdr-sxfe, unless someone has a way to get xine-lib 1.1.1 to compile with xvmc support (1.1.2++ apparently introduced the a/v sync issues or so I read?) Otherwise xineliboutput works well.

Hi! I was thinking of being able listening to FM-radio on my VDR-box, but it looks like most of the cards that is available around herer i based on th Philips saa713x chip - is that supported by the analogtv plugin? And, can I stream analog TV (radio-)channels using the srtemadev-plugin to a VDR-client? Thanks for any answers, Lars Fredriksson

Record a channel without displaying?

Selecting it will display a still picture. Thanks very much Frank, I hadn't considered the Streamdev route, so have now tried that and it does the job to a certain extent. I get the same issue with that as I do with launching playback in advance also though. When the timer starts the Suspend Picture is removed or the recording playback is terminated to start the recording which then suffers from the continual restarts, so I am still in the position that I have to be present to start a recording and re-force the suspend mode or start playback after the timer starts. How can I narrow down what is causing the playback/suspend mode to be terminated? Michael

xineliboutput settings help.

I have finally got xineliboutput working well enough with xvmc. I have the ATSC patch to VDR and a channels.conf with some atsc channels which works fine and decode smoothly, but I dont know what settings you guys are using for HDTV output that works well. I have a LCD projector with a native res of 800x600 connected via RGB SD content displays fine. HD 720p content shows smaller, in the middle of the screen but looks amazing HD 1080i as well only fills the center of the screen and has bad interlacing artifacts regardless of the deinterlacer settings I use. with xinelibout and vdr-sxfe, is there a way to just simply scale the video to my window size so it at least fills the screen, the 720p and 1080i I understand are widescreen, but cant it just add the black bars at the top/bottom and fit to my resolution left-right?? I understand I will be "losing" resolution because of my native panel of 800x600, but Im sure the picture will still be great. ] My video card is a nvidia 5500 Im looking for peoples xvmc/vdr-sxfe/xine-ui/xorg settings with HDTV to allow it to fit nicely to the screen Thx!

HDTV - no video stream

Hi! There is new HD channel (crypted) at HotBird: CANAL+ Sport HD:10719:v:S13.0E:27500:250:251=pol;252=ORY:0:100:4410:113:11000:0 VPID is 250. But when I have set it in VDR, I have only audio. While recording, it save 23MB in 5 minutes. VDR corrected the VPID to 0. Why? Video is MPEG4 stream... Boguslaw Juza
