xine-network patches

Hi! Those who run vdr-xine with the network patches, what is the version of your libxine and which patches do you use for libxine and vdr-xine? I tried with the patches from x-vdr, vdr-xine-0.7.9, vdr-1.4.0-2 and http://home.vrweb.de/~rnissl/xine-lib-cvs-20060319194500.tar.bz2, but I'm unable to get a good video. I estimate the framerate to be about 0,2fps... Both systems have over 70% idle. -- Anssi Hannula

Johan, - Try using an 800x600 resolution, I know that typically nVidia, ATI and S3 chipsets drive the TV (at least NTSC) with that setting. - You might want to try disabling "XvMC" (GPU assisted video decode) - I think with older nVidia drivers you had to use their AGPGart and not the one in the kernel, that might be something else to check. - Disable video de-interlacing in softdevice. reelchannelscan-0.3.0 with complete empty channels.conf before

Hi! With this patch applied reelchannelscan will no longer crash if the channels.conf file was completely empty before scanning. Btw. why I am able to start vdr with a completely empty channels.conf, but not when the file is missing. I thinks this should be changed, vdr should create the file if necessary. Running Perl script from VDR via commands.conf ?

Hello, I am trying to run a Perl script from VDR menu, but it sticks VDR after one second : "timeout". I've added this line in VDR's commands.conf : MY_SCRIPT: /usr/local/bin/myscript.pl & How could I launch the Perl script in background mode ? Thanks.

vdr and ppc

Hi, Has anybody running vdr in a PPC box?. The idea is to take advantage of a Mac Mini box with PowerPC and try to use it with VDR as a remote client, so I would need vdr, streamdev and softdevice at least. I´m having problems with Softdevice as there are some X86 dependencies on the utils.c file. Any tip or suggestion would be really appreciated. Thanks, Luis

I casually discovered that GRABbing is sometimes working sometimes not. I have a Nexus FF + an AverMedia DVB-T. No message in the log, just an empty grab image. I should investigate if the problem resides on which card tunes first.... Francesco
