problem with vdr-xine gnome-screensaver-Message:

When I start xine in anyway with the vdr MRL as follows: xine -V xxmc vdr://tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes OR xine --hide-gui -f -D --post vdr_video --post vdr_audio -V xxmc vdr://tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes OR EVEN JUST xine vdr://tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes I get: gnome-screensaver-Message: Failed to connect to the D-BUS daemon: Unable to determine the address of the message bus (try 'man dbus-launch' and 'man dbus-daemon' for help) repeating in stdout Can anyone help??

adding a budget card to my VDR

Hello, I have a couple of questions about my future upgrading. My VDR is running fine with a single Nexus-S for a couple of years. Beside the VDR box I have another sat receiver, and I'm thinking about integrating it in my VDR box via a budget (skystar2?) card. My goal is: 1. - to have the advantage of 2 cards (concurent recording and live tv from different TP-s). Here's a new version: - set cmd_len correctly (libata checks for correct cmd_len before passing commands through) - indent cleanup - earlier entry point to slow down drive before playback starts Todo: - proper error handling - try old SET CD/DVD SPEED command in case SET STREAMING isn't supported Regards Sebastian

Hi, I've bought a tt s-2300 card. At the moment I have an NTSC monitor attached to the video composite output. There is a way to get dvb stream transcoded from PAL to NTSC and injected into the DVB card again? Regards Eddi

Progressbar support in skins classic and st:tng

Hi, many skins (like text2skin, enigmang, soppalusikka, ... ) support displaying a graphical progressbar when a text like "[||| ]" appears in a menu item. Since runtime patching a font is not possible anymore I was wondering if also the skins classic and st:tng could support this. Here's a small patch (based on the sources of enigmang), that adds this functionality. Would be nice to have this in VDR core ;) Regards, Christian
