Beta version of vdr with dvb-s2 support

Hi, This is a beta version of vdr which support dvb-s2. So this version is able to watch TVHD through a streaming plugin (streamdev plugin is include in archive). http://www.freewebs.com/jlacvdr/vdr-s2hd/vdr-1.4.6-s2hd-070630.tar.bz2 The DVB-S2 channels must have 'M8' in modulation field of channels.conf, for example: ASTRAPROMO_HD:12721:hC23M8:S19.2E:22000:767:768:0:0:10202:1:1119:0 tested with: - linux 2.6.19 - TT3200 card (manu drivers and laasa patch) JLac

subtitles-0.5.0 and gentoo

Hi! I have problem with YLE and subtitles. Subtitles work on "live", but can't see them when watching recording.. OK, If I have understand right the information what I found from net, that should be fixed at subtitles-0.5.0.. So.. I use gentoo and it's packeting system. How I can include this 0.5.0 version to my system, gentoo have only 0.4.0 version on it's repository.. Who is upkeeping vdr stuff at gentoo side... changing default font

When I select a different default font for vdr to use (other than San Serif), and save it to setup.conf, vdr does not use the newly selected default font upon startup. It seems vdr keeps defaulting back to the original default font. Has anyone noticed this too? Best Regards.

Problem with multiple audio channels and DVB subtitles in recordings (YLE Teema)

Hi! I've had problems with two episodes of a documentary series about drugs and the human brain running on Finnish YLE Teema (originally a French documentary by ARTE France NOVAPROD OWL). The audio channels are labeled wrongly in the recordings (there is the original French commentary / dubbed interviews and one with Finnish commentary / original interviews), but more importantly, subtitles are not replayed in the recordings! vdr-1.5.5: red/green/yellow/blue doesn't work anymore

I just upgraded to vdr 1.5.5 and now the colour buttons on the remote doesn't work anymore when there's no OSD. If I press the menu button first they work. Is there a new setting that can have this effect? -- Torgeir Veimo torgeir(a)pobox.com

Hi, I am currently using VDR with a Nexus-S FF card in an NTSC environment. For a long time, I could never get the correct tv standard (NTSC) while trying to watch television via VDRAdmin. I recently noticed that once I stream VDR using VLC and its v4l interface, something in /dev/video0 gets set to NTSC, because from then on, the video is correctly set to NTSC mode and I can watch television via the VDRAdmin television interface. [PATCH] vdr-burn-0.1.0_pre21 using correct charset with >=vdr-1.5.3

Hi there! The attached patch lets vdr-burn-0.1.0_pre21 use the correct charset that vdr itself uses. This stops vdr-burn to double utf8 encode texts. Matthias -- Matthias Schwarzott (zzam)

vdr-1.5.3 - issue with translations out of plugins

Hi Klaus, I just installed vdr-1.5.3, but lcdproc plugin caused vdr to crash on startup. I figured out that the problem is the translation of the string "Volume ". Unlike the other strings that are used by the plugin this string is provided by the vdr-core i18n.c This worked fine in vdr-1.5.1. Adding a dummy translation of "Volume " directly in the plugins i18n.c "fixed" the crash. Is this the intended behaviour? Or was this a feature by accident? ;-) Regards, Joachim.

Hello! Does vdr-ttxtsubs plugin work with any of the latest vdr developer versions?
