Hi, I wrote a patch to Steve Toth hvr3000 repository, so my FlyDVB Trio can use multiple frontend. EPG for Hotbird / russian programmes

Hi, now that my VDR works fine with 2 satellites thanks to the help of some kind folks here and the SourceCaps patch (did I mention it should be in the mainstream VDR?) I have now a couple of FTA programmes in russian language for my better half :-) The only problem is, none of these programmes carry any EPG information. Hello Manu Abraham promised in DVB-linux list http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2007-August/019784.html that in September in hg repository will be Technotrend S2-3200's support if everything will br OK. It's great news. But which will be next step to HDTV-future for VDR project ? h264 and PAFF support ? Regards Igor

Hello, I downloaded the patch for both vdr and the ttxtsubs plugin from Rolf's page, but the subtitles aren't showing. With a quick look (and I remark "quick" so I may be wrong) it seems that the patches now don't change anymore the osd but use the new osd level in vdr-1.5.9. I'd like to know if the new patch is supposed to be working, or the cause the subtitles aren't showing is my hurriedly patched dxr3 and xine plugins. Mid range CPU choice

About to step into the deep end and build my first VDR box. In fact 2 of them at the same time both with the exact same specs. All parts are going to be new. New CPU's are a lot more confusing than the simple days of single cores at fixed clockspeeds. My question is what CPU should I chose for good noise reducing , heat reducing solutions.
