Hi!
Could somebody enlight me why xine under vdr mediaplayer have problems with
ac3 sound?
I have file what I can play without problems directly with xine:
xine: found demuxer plugin: matroska demux plugin
video discontinuity #1, type is 0, disc_off 0
waiting for audio discontinuity #1
audio discontinuity #1, type is 0, disc_off 0
demux_matroska: Track 1, A_AC3 und
waiting for in_discontinuity update #1
demux_matroska: Track 2, V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC eng
vpts adjusted with prebuffer to 24249
…
[View More]load_plugins: plugin ffmpegvideo will be used for video streamtype 4d.
load_plugins: plugin a/52 will be used for audio streamtype 00.
But if I select same file in VDR - [menu] - Media Player - Play file
Picture is ok, but only sound what I get is surround channel (background
noise).
I have copied file '.xine/config' to '.xine/config_xineliboutput' with no
help.
At plugins setup - xineliboutpu - audio I have set:
Speakers: Pass Through
Upmix stereo to 5.1: Yes
Rest of selections are no/off
Connection from computer to amp is SPDIF

Is it OK to ask for card recommendations here or would it be better to
ask in the DVB list? I want to build a new HTPC to watch "Freesat" and I
don't know what DVB-S card to buy. They're actually a bit difficult to
find, being a more obscure item in the UK than DVB-T receivers.
Working properly with Linux is obviously essential, and I'd like it to
be compatible with DVB-S2 if that's a question of hardware, not just
drivers. Ideally I'd like PCI Express rather than plain old PCI, for
future-…
[View More]proofing and so that I can use both of my old DVB-T cards as
well, on a new mATX motherboard. Having a good remote control would be
helpful too.
I think I read that there are no Linux drivers for DVB cards with
multiple tuners. Is that (still) true?

Hi, there.
My 3200 remote isn't working properly with v4l-dvb current drivers.
Some buttons are switched (power button is 2, 2 is 4, 3 is 5 and so
on) or unresponsive.
Any ideas as what's going on were? There was a fix for multiproto that
involved patching yourpath/linux/drivers/media/dvb/ttpci/budget-ci.c
with something like:
break;
case 0x1010:
case 0x1017:
/* for the Technotrend 1500 bundled remote */
ir_input_init(input_dev, &…
[View More]budget_ci->ir.state,
IR_TYPE_RC5, ir_codes_tt_1500);
to something like:
break;
case 0x1010:
case 0x1017:
case 0x1019:
/* for the Technotrend 1500 bundled remote */
ir_input_init(input_dev, &budget_ci->ir.state,
IR_TYPE_RC5, ir_codes_tt_1500);
Editing the file on v4l-dvb shows this:
break;
case 0x1010:
case 0x1017:
case 0x101a:
/* for the Technotrend 1500 bundled remote */
ir_input_init(input_dev, &budget_ci->ir.state,
IR_TYPE_RC5, ir_codes_tt_1500);
The third value on v4l-dvb is different. Any ideas?
