Hi, attached you'll find updated patches for VDR-1.5.16. The patch named *-dvbs2-* additionally adds DVB-S2 support to VDR (based on VDR-1.5.14) and requires to use the DVB drivers from the multi-proto tree (see URL below for further details). The other patch is without DVB-S2 support and therefore most suitable for DVB-C users. VDR-1.5.14 reported changes to transponder data incorrectly. The attached dvbs2 patch contains a fix for this issue by introducing TransponderDataToString(). floatingpoint exception in mp3 plugin

Hi, I have experienced a problem when trying to play mp3/ogg/wav on a usb stick, which contains also non-audio files. my mp3sources.conf looks like this: /mnt;stick;0;*.wav/*.ogg/*.mp3 The usbstick contains zip/exe files doc/rtf, some python files etc. ulimit -u unlimited ./vdr -P mp3 .... After pressing playall button vdr crashs. No core file was created any ideas? BR. Halim

VDR on OpenWRT / embedded system

Hi, has anybody thought of running VDR on OpenWRT? The Asus WL-500g Premium is an wlan access point with two USB 2.0 Ports. It has a 266 MHz Broadcom BCM94704 MIPS CPU and is running linux. http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Hardware/Asus/WL500GP It is possible to connect a harddrive and some USB DVB-S cards via USB to the access point. So VDR has to be compiled for the MIPS architecture. The benefit of an access point is that it makes absolutly no noice, is quite inexpensive and takes less electricity. It would be great if the access point could record videos on its harddisk and share them over network via samba or stream it... Is this possible? Any ideas? dbscan fails

I built a VDR box a year ago; it worked; For some reasons, I changed the motherboard and software. Now dvbscan fails : I suspect the fact that the LNB is not powered. My configuration Fedora 8 x64_86 up to date Hauppauge Nexus dvb-s rev 2.3 There is signal, since the decoder works ok. dvbscan fails, kaffeine too. Thank you for your help

vdr 1.5.16 - minor problem in font.c

Hello, DrawText() in font.c uses the method Glyph() which may return a null pointer, but doesn't check the returned pointer. I came across this bug, when checking a bug report from Sven Mueller: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=467512 When info.vdr contains an invalid character (like in the above example a 0xA0 - a Latin-1 NO-BREAK SPACE), Glyph() returns null, which then causes a segfault when dereferencing the null-pointer. The easiest way to fix this, would probably be to ignore such invalid characters, which is, what the attached two-line-patch will do. the pic2mpg script aceptis only files with lower case caracters. is it posible to support upper case caracters by default? my pictures are named DSCN*.JPG and the script only acepts DSCN*.jpg. stefan

dvd-Plugin kompiliert nicht

Hallo, ich weiß, das meine Anfrage hier off topic ist, aber vielleicht kann mir einer von Euch helfen. Ich habe auf vdr1.4.7 "aufgerüstet" (eine SuSE10,3), und da compiliert das dvd-plugin nicht. Fehlermeldung siehe mein Thread in VDR-Portal http://www.vdr-portal.de/board/thread.php?threadid=74316 Es wäre sehr nett, wenn einer mir einen Tip geben könnte! Danke Siegfried
