vdr: no signal

I've got vdr installed according to http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/vdr-guide.xml with lib-xine as a frontend. I've also got a working dvb config which I can tell from the fact that everything works in Kaffeine. Now, what I see running vdr-sxfe xvdr://localhost is just a black screen with a 'No Signal' message. Hi I'm using vdr-softdevice and ShmClient to tune to VDR and it all works very well. Indeed, I've even tweaked mplay.sh to do it's job. However, there's a little problem: ShmClient usually runs in front of the GDM Greeter (as nobody is logged into X11 when watching TV). And I've noticed that very dark pixels (maybe just those with RGB=000000) are displayed by ShmClient as transparent and thus the underlying GDM Greeter shines through. DVD subtitles with xineliboutput Media Player

From the README I understand that Mediaplayer uses settings from VDR to select subtitles. It does not seem to work, I have subtitles in VDR set as Finnish but whenever I start a DVD it plays english subtitles, need to select correct subtitles with subtitlekey on remote.

Sorry to bother this list but maybe someone could help me. I´m using vdr1.4.7 on a Suse10.3 with one FF-DVB-S-Card (technotrend rev.1.3) and one budget DVB-T (winTV nova). Everything worked well until yesterday. Greetings to All, Yesterday I've received my Reel eHD so that I can enjoy hardware accelerated DVB-S/DVB-S2 playback/output on my VDR-1.7.0 installation in combination with the S2-3200. Everything works, image is very good and I can enjoy HDTV without framedrops or stuttering :) The tutorials on vdr-wiki.de were very helpfull to get it all working. Standard AC3 component descriptor handling

I am currently working on making the switch from PES to TS as the VDR recording format, that's why there are currently no new versions of VDR. playing 2 audio streams at the same time

Hello, Is it possible with vdr, to send one audio channel to the headphones and the other audio channel to the speakers (or another headphones)? Example: we watch a film recorded from Arte, and my wife wants to listen to the french, and I want to listen to the german audio channel. If it's possible, what version do I need at least and what must be configured? If not, please consider this as a feature request. Kind regards and thanks for this great software!
