[PATCH] Section Filter Read Abstraction

Hi, when using cDevice based classes that have no access to kernel based section filters it makes sense to have an abstract 'ReadFilter' function. The patch attached adds such a method to the cDevice class and changes cSectionHandler code to use the new method. Please add this patch to current 1.6/1.7 development versions. Deti

vdr plugin and kernel issues

Hi List, I changed a dvdrecorder in my vdr and now the cdda plugin doesn't work any more. I found the following error: WARN: CDROMREADTOCHDR function not implemented. The kernel is a 2.6.23. Any idea what caused this? Do I need to ujpdate kernel, libcdio??? Which versions??? Thanks halim

consistent device removal

Hi, sometimes it is very useful to create and destroy cDevice based classes at runtime. Currently it is only possible to create such classes at any time but destroying causes inconsistency in the 'devices' array which leads to segmentation faults in various places. The patch attached keeps the 'device' array consistent on destruction of any cDevice based class. Please add this patch to current 1.6/1.7 development versions. Delaying subtitles

My problem is that vdr 1.6.0 with the reelbox plugin displays the subtitles 6 seconds too early. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to add a 6 seconds delay to the subtitles? I tried to look at the old subtitle plugin and how it was done there but couldn't see how to apply that to the subtitle handling that vdr does. Regards, Josce

[PATCH] Working PlayTsXXX to PlayXXX wrapper

Hi list, Attached is a new version of cDevice::PlayTsVideo and cDevice::PlayTsAudio that properly handles partially accepted buffers of the PlayVideo and PlayAudio functions. The original functions would discard any partially written data. These two functions are only used by devices that do not implement their own PlayTsXXX functions. Hi list, The Cuttime-patch modifies the recording time of edited recordings to match the time of the first cut mark of the original recording. So if you start a recording 5 minutes earlier, and then later cut off the first 5 minutes, the resulting recording will have the proper start time again. Also, if you cut the recording into several parts, each part will co-exist with the other parts, since they will differ in starting time. Hi list, A first experimental version of the hard link cutter patch is available for VDR-1.7.4. The new version handles 1TB file sizes for TS recordings, properly calculates the switch-to-large-files for 65535 files, and also handles PES recordings properly with the old limits. For TS recordings however, the need for the file size switch is probably obsolete since the limit of 255 files is gone, so this feature might be dropped on later versions. S2API wrapper patch 0.5 for VDR-1.7.4

Hi list, The new S2API-Wrapper patch for VDR-1.7.4 is ready. Beside adding support for the final 2G-flag, the patch also reverts the change that sends TS data directly to the device, since TS playback support is even newer than S2API support. Since TS to PES conversion by VDR-1.7.4 is also broken, its a good idea to also apply the PlayTS [1] patch.
